Every year Jimmy Buffett and his management company set aside tickets for members of Parrot Head Clubs at every venue he plays. Not many entertainers do that for their most loyal fans. Parrot Heads entitled to these tickets must be members in good standing of a club affiliated with Parrot Heads in Paradise (PHIP) our national club. Affiliated clubs must do a minimum number of community service projects each year to qualify for eligibility. PHIP has established an official "Rule List" for disbursement of tickets to clubs and the PHCOT has added some additional guidelines. They are as follows:
PARROT HEADS IN PARADISE GUIDELINES
300 tickets per venue are divided among numerous clubs near the venue. Two (2) tickets are the maximum allowed any paid member per year. No ticket sales will be made to non-members. Best seats assigned to the most active members. No seats are to be sold above face value, unless by an earlier majority vote, with the proceeds going to charity. The number of tickets spoken for by the club is the number we must purchase. Each club must participate in two (2) Community Service and Environmental Projects per year to be considered eligible for tickets. A semi-annual report is sent to PHIP stating what PHCOT participated in, how much money was raised, and a contact name for each Charity / Community Service group that we supported and worked with. PARROT POINT GUIDELINES & VALUES
PHCOT members will be eligible for the year's concert tickets based on their performance in the previous calendar year (January through December). This year's work will determine who is eligible for next year's tickets. For a Club Member to be eligible, he/she must earn a minimum of four (4) Parrot Points by participating in at least a minimum of three (3) different Environmental, Charity, and club sponsored/approved events to be eligible for the option to purchase tickets.
There are no maximum number of parrot points that can be earned by an individual club member. Attendance only to an event is not considered participation. The Chairperson of the event is responsible for ensuring all participants sign the attendance list and have actually participated in the event prior to submission to the PHCOT Secretary. The PHCOT Secretary will keep a record of the Parrot Points earned by each club member and will be made available to all club members to review on a quarterly basis.
The number of Chairpersons and Parrot Point values will be determined and/or modified as deemed necessary and approved by the PHCOT Board of Directors. This will be done on a case-by-case basis. The Parrot Point values area as follows:
Participate by providing Food Bank donation at monthly club meeting - ¼ parrot point. (any donation quantity)
Participate by providing SPCA donation at monthly club meeting - ¼ parrot point. (any donation quantity)
Participate in a "Beer Pull" fundraiser - ½ parrot point.
Participate in a club sponsored/approved Environmental Project - 1 parrot point.

Chairperson and/or Co-Chairperson of a PHCOT Community Service Project - 4 parrot points. (such as Alzheimer's Association Beach Ball, Relay for Life, SPCA, Food Bank, )
Serve on the PHCOT Board of Directors - 4 parrot points.
TICKET DISTRIBUTION & SEATING ASSIGNMENT
The PHCOT Board of Directors will establish a committee to distribute the tickets made available to the club based on the number of parrot points each member has earned from the previous calendar year. The committee will consist of at least three people: Club Secretary, a Board Member, and a club member in good standing. The Club Secretary is responsible for calling the members who qualify for the allotted amount of tickets provided to the club. The most parrot points earned in the previous calendar year (January through December) determines the option to purchase a ticket and their seating arrangement. Meaning, the club member who earns the most parrot points gets the first option to purchase a ticket and the best seat that is offered to the club. From there, the option to purchase to tickets will go backwards from second most points to the fewest amount of members who qualify by their parrot point values earned.
From time to time, the Board of Directors may reserve the right to give a pair of tickets someone who has helped the club in various ways. An example is someone in the media who may have helped with publicity or did a story on an event that was beneficial to the club and the charity.
